Did you hear the news?! Pantone's Color of the Year for 2011 is honeysuckle pink! It's not as soft as it sounds either, it's a vibrant, fuschia hue. While I'm hanging my head a bit because I've been going all over blogland all year forecasting that it would be purple/plum/aubergine (yes, Sue), but the happy news is that I decorated my living room last fall with accents of, you guessed it, honeysuckle pink! Ahead of the curve, baby, that's what I like!

  4. What a funny name. I thought honeysuckle was more yellow and white. Still, I love the pink. Our spare room is that colour and I love it.Fiona

  6. I can see accents of that color or a backdrop... too much might look like a coating of Pepto Bismol (hehe)

  18. Oh, you have such a good eye I wouldn't be surprised if you already predicted the color for 2012.

  19. Yup, I feel quite ahead of the curve as well on the whole pink thing but hoping it doesn't all of a sudden become the colour everyone decides to use- would hate to see it overused and loose it's edgy/romantic appeal. Still pleased though that the world seems to finally be embrassing pink in all its glory! Loved your post shots:) xo

ps: I'm betting you purple girls have a real shot at 2012! :)

  38. Not really a pink girl although it can work nicely as an accent color! There also seems to be some discussion about exactly what shade of pink this is - some bloggers seem to think it is more of an orangey, warmer pink. But in any event, I LOVE it in the last shot - really effective there!!
