I say yes! I painted a wall in my kitchen of all places black in my last house. I loved it. My husband almost fainted when he saw it but he grew to love (like) it as well.
Well you've seen pictures of my house so you can guess my answer. However, ilove these pictures and the inspiration.... but i need light, light, light so this is why i go for white. Happy weekend.
Yeppers, it's a fav-o-mine! I painted my sons room black and it's a great neutral backdrop to all things boy. I have always thought it was cool. Seeing the all black kitchen in Kelly Wearstlers home has always been a show stopper for me as well :)
I love black walls, but only when paired with lots of white so it pops and looks dramatic and in a room with lots of light - otherwise it just feels like a cave to me :)
Shari that first picture is absolutely swoon worthy. The couch is a dream...I don't know if I could do all black, but totally want to try it in the bathroom. Is that crazy?
I think it's a statement when you paint with black and I have seen powder rooms and most recently a dining room painted black...all very gorgeous but not for me! I love bright and airy so it wouldn't last long in my house!
Black, yes, but not in sunnier countries like Barbados or St. Barths. I adore the first image, and I'm smitten with that sofa, too. Have a grand weekend.xx
Definitely yes! Given the right space and furnishings, a black room is just beautiful... love the one especially with the luxurious sofa. Beautiful. xx
My friend has a dramatic black powder room, and it's stunning! I love black in a dining room, too - after all, it's usually a room used at night. Dark rooms, in general, are sexy and mysterious. My bedroom walls were dark burgundy and are now a deep plum, and I love it. Keep the "dark" posts coming!
