By Invitation Only - November Inspiration

Today I am participating in the lovely Marsha at Splenderosa's "By Invitation Only" post party! It is such an honor to be included with such an amazing group of ladies. This month's topic is aspirations and dreams. What would we do if money were no object? I am incredibly happy to state that I wouldn't want to be doing anything much differently than I do now, just maybe in different surroundings! I am the rare girl who actually looks forward to getting up and going to work every day. I LOVE what I do, and the hours fly by. Sure, it can be really stressful and difficult at times, particularly when I have a deadline or things just aren't clicking with a client, but overall I would be doing graphic design in my free time if I wasn't getting paid for it. So in a lot of ways, I feel like I can't ask for anything else in life than what I have. But I would be lying if I said that I didn't fantasize about winning the lottery or inheriting a bunch of money (this would definitely be from some unknown relative, lol!). The first thing I would probably do is move. Most of you guys know that I live in Savannah, but what you might not know is that I don't like it here! It's too hot! I have bad hair and skin all summer long (and I don't think that any amount of money could fix that, it's just so humid!). And I love big cities. So I would probably pack up my husband and our two cats and move to NY or Boston, my two favorite towns. Then of course I would be stuck with the question of where to live, I know Boston would definitely be Back Bay (a lovely brownstone, thank you very much), but I'm still not sure if I would be an uptown or downtown girl in NY (I've been both). That would be a fun dilemma to have though! Uptown penthouse or downtown loft?! I also would be thrilled to indulge my fashion penchant by being able to shop without guilt! Proenza Schouler here I come! And travel, which, I already do a lot of that anyway due to my flexible schedule, but I might start going to more glam destinations (dying to check out Dubrovnik!). I would also love to shower my family and friends with cool gifts and trips, just fun stuff, since they are so amazing.

But you know what? And I mean this from the bottom of my heart. If not one thing changes in my life, I feel like I have already achieved the majority of my dreams. Isn't that amazing? Like, if I died tomorrow, it would be okay, I wouldn't feel like there is any great thing I missed out on. And that, I guess, is really a dream come true. Much love to you all!
